My vote would be for Dagmara Dominczyk, the radiantly beautiful Polish-born actress who played James Caviezel's true love in "The Count of Monte Cristo". (Bio at http://dominczyk.webpark.pl/biogrf.html ). She's also the lady in that De Beers diamond commercial. It's the one where a couple's in Venice, and the husband keeps yelling "I love this woman", to her embarrassment. Then he gives her a gorgeous diamond ring, at which point she pulls him close and whispers "I love this man". Every time that commercial aired I found myself catching my breath at the sight of Dominczyk. Beyond the beauty, though, she's a good actress, having attended Carnegie Mellon on a full acting scholarship after winning Best Actor at New York's High School for the Performing Arts. Her father was instrumental in Poland's Solidarity movement and was exiled for it. Her grandfather was put to death for opposing the communist government. Dominczyk herself plans to return to Poland someday to help further its progress. Her looks, acting ability, and life experiences seem to me to make for a truly international star, a good candidate for a Bond girl.
I see from the bio link you provided that Tishby similarly has an impressive resume and world experience. Either woman would work. I think I'd prefer to see a non-American born actress in the role. -----Original Message----- From: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of g123curious Sent: Friday, February 03, 2006 10:28 To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Subject: [scifinoir2] Re: Bond Begins Filming Without Key Cast Instead of the usual suspects, I vote for Noa Tishby. Who is she? Watch the Las Vegas episode "Whale of a Time." Yeah, she guest starred in an episode of Enterprise, but let's try to ignore THAT. She'd make an awesome secret agent, as witnessed by the more spy-like "Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life". But isn't she pregnant now? Thandie Newton? She's already been "the girl" eye candy in Mission Impossible 2, and don't know why she'd want to do that again. She's a much better actress than the role would probably require. I hear McAdam's is a good actress. > > -------------- Original message -------------- > From: "Tracey de Morsella (formerly Tracey L.
