Actually, I was just being a smart ass.  I can relate to not wanting to 
face someone who I know longer want to date for reasons related to my 
past, but I would procrastinate and ultimately "face the music."  I do 
not think I'm better because I could force myself to do it, just lucky I 
had my dad's wisdom and some nuns figuratively sitting on my shoulder 
making do it. 

Regarding complex... the four of us have names, but we only gang up on 
my husband when absolutely necessary.
