Actually, I was just being a smart ass. I can relate to not wanting to face someone who I know longer want to date for reasons related to my past, but I would procrastinate and ultimately "face the music." I do not think I'm better because I could force myself to do it, just lucky I had my dad's wisdom and some nuns figuratively sitting on my shoulder making do it.
