My concern's more along the lines of viewability. Right now, where I live, I
know of a dozen people who want to go see the movie, but the thought of having
to travel halfway across town is daunting them into reconsidering.

Theaters aren't the problem. A Michael Moore movie means ticket
sales. F/911 sold quite a few tickets well past the opening weekend.
These kind of movies are good for business. An Inconvenient Truth may
not have been a blockbuster, but it sold some tickets, which is
ESPECIALLY important to the smaller "art house" outlets who can't
survive waiting for Kevin Smith's latest. There may be more theaters
showing Transformers and The Simpsons (by the way, does anyone else
feel like this movie came out of nowhere?) But Michael Moore is good
 business.
