Tracey, the man's *always* been odd.

He was a stellar underachiever at Annapolis, barely graduated, wore the
near-singular dishonor of being in the Century Club every year he spent on the
Yard (that's having 100+ demerits per year, which requires being a total
f*ck-up), was a lousy junior officer riding his daddy's coattails (daddy was a
captain in the Navy at the time McCain was on the Yard, and eventually retired
a two-star admiral. What shaped him up in any way was being a POW. It's also
what really put him over the edge. For his conduct as a POW alone (refusing to
eb released from captivity just because he was offered it based on his daddy's
rank), I respect him.

I know they make jokes about his age all the time, but
his speeches,
jokes, quotes and interviews have a different, off kilter ... wacko. Sorry

I saw him on the daily show and a few other interview shows last summer
and he did not sound so nutty. I did not agree with anything he said,
but he seemed to be sane. Now he looks frail and really sounds out
there. Is it possible he has dementia or is he just dementia and no
longer afraid to let his demented side out.
