DO see John Cho in "Better Luck Tomorrow". He is a good actor who is
being limited in his comedy roles. You'll recall that I'm mad that
he's been cast as Sulu, but that's mainly because he's been branded
to a generation as "the Asian guy" and it's bad for illustrating the
diversity of Asians. John is a talented actor, and I am much happier
about him in this role.

It'll be interesting to see how Cho does as a dramatic actor. I've
never seen him in anything, but of course know of his comedic turn
in the Harold and Pumar moves. His partner in those--Kal Pen--is a
good dramatic actor, doing a fine job in the movie "The Namesake"

Joseph Fiennes (“Shakespeare in Love,” “Enemy At The Gates”) and
John Cho (J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek,” the “Harold & Kumar” franchise)
have been added to the cast of ABC’s sci-fi pilot “Flash Forward,”
joining Courtney B. Vance (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent”) and Jack
Davenport (“Swingtown”).
David S. Goyer (“Blade: The Series”) and Brannon Braga (“Star Trek:
Enterprise”) – who earlier collaborated on CBS’ short-lived alien-
invasion drama “Threshold” – scripted “Flash Forward,” based on the
sci-fi novel by Robert J. Sawyer.<mime-attachment.gif>
The book is about what happens when physicists, conducting a super-
high-energy experiment, accidentally cause everyone on Earth to
experience two minutes and 17 seconds of his or her own future 21
years hence. A lot of people were driving cars when their
consciousnesses left their bodies for more than two minutes, so the
experience is memorable for many reasons.
The Hollywood Reporter describes:
The project centers on Mark Banford (Fiennes), an FBI agent who is
patching up his life and his marriage after winning a long struggle
with the bottle. Disturbed by the harrowing premonition during his
blackout, he races to unravel the mystery, fearful of the murky
future that might spell disaster for himself and his loved ones.
Cho will play Dominic Witten, a dedicated FBI agent who is Mark's
partner and friend. His experience while unconscious was an
absolute blank, which doesn't bode well for his own future as he
realizes he might be murdered.
Goyer, who wrote and directed “Blade: Trinity,” will direct the pilot.
