A sudden and surprising drop in prices of Blu-ray titles has been detected by several websites, which have noted that some are now comparable to those of their DVD counterparts. The drop in prices was reportedly prompted by plummeting store sales of both Blu-ray discs and DVDs even at a time when prices of Blu-ray players have dropped to below $200.
