Okay, Tracey, I will.

It adorable and sweet. If I were going to introduce Miyazaki to a nine year old, I would show him some of the other stuff. This is about a five year old boy who finds a pretty goldfish who turns into a little girl to be with and almost causes the destruction of the world. I think adults would appreciate it more than male tweens and pretweens From: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com [mailto:scifino...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Martin Baxter Sent: Sunday, August 16, 2009 5:03 PM To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Subject: RE: [RE]Ponyo (Hayao Miyazaki} RE: [RE][scifinoir2] Something has gone wrong with "Where the Wild Things Are" Tracey, I'm sorry -- I was thinking about giving it to him on DVD by then. Doubt his mother would let me take him to see it, even if it were showing then. She's one man-hatin' woman. I'm her brother, and she'll barely let me into her house. ---------[ Received Mail Content ]---------- Subject : RE: [RE]Ponyo (Hayao Miyazaki} RE: [RE][scifinoir2] Something has gone wrong with "Where the Wild Things Are" Date : Sun, 16 Aug 2009 14:50:57 -0700 >From : "Tracey de Morsella" To : I do not think it will be in the theatres then. It is only at 3 theaters here in a 100 mile radius. Ask him if he has seen the Miyazaki hits, the ones more well known and awarded like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke? I'll keep this in mind, and try to gauge him on the matter without giving anything away. Hopefully, I'll be heading up to Jersey, where he and his mother live, for Thanksgiving, depending on how my money looks then. ---------[ Received Mail Content ]---------- Subject : Ponyo (Hayao Miyazaki} RE: [RE][scifinoir2] Something has gone wrong with "Where the Wild Things Are" Date : Sun, 16 Aug 2009 09:26:01 -0700 >From : "Tracey de Morsella" To : Keep in mind, I was with two little girls, six and eight who can be dramatic. They “loooooved it” that being said, the kids in the theatre were young… say 4-8 on average with some older kids. These girls were primed for it. Back when I was sicker and could not go out, I would have them do movie afternoons with me. Some of those afternoons included Kiki’s delivery service, spirited away, howl’s moving castle, Princess Mononoke, Porco Rosso,My Neighbor Totoro, and Whisper of the heart. So there was no way they were going to hate it. I think it might be too sweet for a nine year old boy. If he likes other Miyazaki films he will like it, otherwise, I’m inclined to say perhaps not. I loved it too, though From: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com [mailto:scifino...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Martin Baxter Sent: Sunday, August 16, 2009 9:05 AM To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com, Subject: RE: [RE][scifinoir2] Something has gone wrong with "Where the Wild Things Are" Tracey, how did they like the movie itself? Not only do I want to see it for myself, but I want to know if it'll entertain my nine-year-old nephew. I've sent him a few movies, but no anime as yet, and want your gauge on it. ---------[ Received Mail Content ]---------- Subject : RE: [RE][scifinoir2] Something has gone wrong with "Where the Wild Things Are" Date : Sun, 16 Aug 2009 08:46:26 -0700 >From : "Tracey de Morsella" To : I took my daughter Kira and her buddy to see Ponyo (Hayao Miyazaki}yesterday and they had a preview of Where the Wild Things Are.
