A point of contention was the lack of black people at the Tea Party rally. Keenan Thompson's dead-on Steele took issue with that assertion and, using actual footage, pointed out two black people: one was a DC policeman and the other was a white man in an Obama mask. An telling side note to the Tea party...Clarence Page's newspaper column mentions that the Black Family Reunion street fair was going on at the same time as the protest and the predominantly white protesters had to walk through the predominantly black fair goers to get back to their transportation. According to Page, there were no altercations and, in fact, many Tea Baggers, stopped to chat and purchase barbecue.
