One of my pet peeves in all fiction but especially in television/soap opera fiction (where one would be hard-pressed to name a single major female character who has NOT been raped or date raped) is the near obligatory rape/redemption/go-on-with-your-life-as-if-nothing-happened arc. ~(no)rave!
