I've never read any of the Potter books, nor seen anything past the first film. I'm not aware of Dumbledore's powers. Can he compare with Gandalf?

Obi Wan was strong in the Force, but he was still a human. He was subject to aging, and, even though he was able to keep his spirit on this plane after death, my understanding is that such a practice eventually required the spirit to pass on. He was bad, true, but, aside from lifting jets and jumping high with the Force, I wouldn't call his powers all encompassing. Gandalf, despite his appearance, was not an old man, but more like an angel in a flesh costume. He'd been alive for millenia, had vast magic at his command, even being able to control the weather if he so chose, something I don't know if the Jedi could do. When he "died" he was able to come back in an even more powerful form. And the Grey wizard was a hell of a swordsman who i bet could go toe-to-toe with Obi Wan, and I'd put my money on Glamdring over a lightsabre any day! I think we never really got to see the full extent of Gandalf's power, as he tried to use persuasion more to help people help themselves. But I think his knowledge, experience, and suite of magical powers would overpower Obi Wan. Maybe they can do a "Deadliest Warrior" with a Jedi vs. a Maiar! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Adrianne Brennan" < adrianne.bren...@gmail.com > To: scifinoir2@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, July 29, 2010 9:48:31 PM Subject: Re: [scifinoir2] The Top 10 Bada$$ Movie Geezers How did Gandalf beat out Obi-Wan?
