One of the things I read several times now is that writers often write a
great hook- but then write a different story, or their story never lives up to
their hook.

If you were to take a story you wrote and could change it- or let's pretend
you change the first page- how would you now write your "hook"?

Some questions: Is there a hook in your latest story? What is a hook anyway?
Does it work? Is it possible to make it more powerful and, if so, how? Does
the hook feel contrived?

Thanks.
-C (who is presently wondering if she is hookless or hooking.)
