I blame the publishers but I also blame us.

Some black folks i know -- like a lot of white folks i know-- only 
read stuff with sex and violence in it. Some only read religious 
stuff. Emotional literate literature. Nah.

Not that I'm so innocent of this either. I haven't checked out the 
latest academic or instrospective black bio lately. So I can't judge.
