I am sorry, but I won't be able to work on gsoc. Many things happened since
I started working on my project. I now live in Switzerland and work at
Google. I received the offer after I started working on my project. I am
very interested in scikit-learn, I thought it would be possible to work on
it in my spare time, but I think that's not how gsoc should work and it
would be better if I step off.
I have implemented a working implementation of backpropagation, with
squared loss, cross-entropy loss and momentum term. I was able to create
gradient checking and assure that the sgd works right. When I was
experimenting with MNIST dataset I was able to get close to the expected
results, even though the computation took whole day. However, I don't have
the time now to continue with developing, I hope I'll be able to work after
my internship is over, but that will be over gsoc.
I am sorry for all problems this cause to you. I like the project, but
there is a difference between gsoc and actually working at Google office.
