It induced a fair amount of test breakage. I fixed a lot of doctest before merge, but forgot those that were not in the SVM module. Also, I only ran the nosetests on the svm_test.py, which worked. So I guess I merged a bit prematurely / didn't test enough. I thought fixing the couple of doctests would do it.
