I think this is an area where the spirit of the license and the pragmatics more important than the letter of the license. Provide a link to the source of the quoted examples at the bottom of your slide (anyone getting your slide PDFs will thank you for it anyways), and I think you will have satisfied the desires of the authors when they contributed them under the BSD license (n.b.
