Hi Raynald, I've looked at your proposal as visible from the Melange system at [1]. - You mention rewriting some existing implementation: E2LSH, lshash, pyBrain (I presume the LSH implementation). What do you expect to gain from rewriting one or more of these? - Have you read all recent scikit learn traffic about LSH? In particular: plain LSH is generally considered ineffective. - Your proposal mentions many different related problems and techniques to implement or evaluate. What is the main challenge/risk? which of those techniques actually look promising?
In a proposal, I don't look merely for a list of possible directions, but for a choice of particular ones, ideas about their implications, and an argument why those are a good investment of effort.
