Hi Brian, As you’ve probably noticed, the scimple project has been quiet.
What’s hanging in the balance, is whether it gets moved into the attic, or someone steps up to maintain it. Are you willing to take it over? I don’t really have a horse in this race. I was behind the initial proposal by the Penn State guys, but it seems to have lost a bit of steam. If a maintainer doesn’t come along soon, say next 90 days or so, my recommendation will be move it to the attic. Hope this doesn’t catch you off guard. — Shawn > On Apr 4, 2022, at 4:20 PM, Brian Demers <[email protected]> wrote: > > It's been an interesting last couple of years, so I'm not sure who is > currently working on SCIMple, but I'd like help push it along :D > > I created a PR to update most of the low haning fruit as far as > dependencies and plugins go > https://github.com/apache/directory-scimple/pull/30 > > The next round of updates starts getting closer to the javax/jakarta > issue. > > My take on it is since SCIMple doesn't have an official release yet, we > should push for updated packages (that way anyone moving > from PennState/SCIMple-Identity only has to deal with a single round of > package name / dependency hell issues) > > Also, there is probably a dependency or two that needs to be > removed/replaced, for example 'com.eclipsesource.restfuse' is dead. > > Thoughts, ideas? > > -Brian Demers --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
