I'd like certain keyword lists to be automatically capitalized as the user types them. Is there any in-built facility for this? This seems closely related to lexing: within comments are strings for example this should not happen.
I suppose it can be done at Scintilla level, but I am not sure it is the right place, it should be done on the client level.
It is certainly not the job of the lexer, anyway.
For example, for SciTE, I wrote a simple Lua script that uppercase SQL keywords on the fly:
