Summary: Wiki Support

Initial Comment:
Would it be able to support the wiki-syntax e.g. for
OpenWiki?
Then it would be possible to edit the wiki-text in
SciTe and copyNpaste it in the wiki-system. By support I think about syntax-highlighting for
example bold, italic, underlined. The more complex
syntaxes like tables shouldn't be supported, but thing
as html-tags should be. So I think it would be an
extension for the html-lexer.

Oh, my, the HTML lexer is so crowded that it would be impossible to add anything like that.
Of course, one can take a subset of HTML, without any scripting language, and add support of Wiki syntax. Ideally, this would be possible with more modular lexers, allowing to mix and match various languages.

Like, it would be nice to be able to highlight HTLM in strings of your favorite language used as CGI.

And to be useful, the lexer should be flexible enough to support any Wiki (or similar text markup syntax like AFT: <http://www.maplefish.com/todd/aft.html>) with proper settings. Or use a scripted lexer, allowing any tweaks.

Note that supporting BBCode, for example, would be nice too...

BTW, writing about HTML lexer and languages doing CGI-like job, I saw a flaw in the LexHTML support of JSP comments:
something like:

<hr />
<%-- Faffa --%>
<p>Foo</p>

is highlighted correctly, but if you replace the spaces by an EOL (first then second), the end of comment is no longer detected.
Curiously enough, replacing the spaces in the other order is OK...
