In my opinion, this style of braces looks like a bug itself... But
perhaps there is a special need here.
I guess the brace matching algorithm has been designed for "correct"
embedding of braces, so it is probably lost when it meets a curious
sequence.
Well, actually, my guess is that when searching for a match, it looks
only for braces of identical category, ie. it doesn't know anything
about the other kind of braces: if looking for a match of ), it will
ignore {[]}.
Bug or feature or limitation, it is up to your opinion, but I suppose
Neil would accept a "carefully written correction of this behaviour"...
