I've been using the D programming language for a couple years now :) , spoils me -- makes it hard to go back to C++ / Java.
D is http://www.digitalmars.com/d/ D sourceforge is http://www.dsource.org I also use scintilla for a D IDE, called Elephant at http://www.thecodebase.com . Also just FYI , a full fledged debugger is in the works ( collaboration with creator ). I know alot of people that use scite for D development also .
