Summary: EN_CHANGE sent for modifications that do not change text
Initial Comment:
EN_CHANGE is sent for all SC_MOD_XXX notifications
except SC_MOD_CHANGESTYLE. I think
EN_CHANGE should only be sent for a modification
which has actually (or potentially) changed the text.
Thus I think the following other modifications should be
excluded:
SC_MOD_CHANGEMARKER
SC_MOD_CHANGEFOLD
I'm particularly concerned about marker changes - these
are decoration and not pertinent to something watching
the traditional text box change event.
I think line 3758 of Editor.cxx (in Editor::NotifyModified)
should read:
if ((mh.modificationType & ~
(SC_MOD_CHANGESTYLE|SC_MOD_CHANGEMARK
ER|SC_MOD_CHANGEFOLD)) != 0) {
i.e. test for any bit set other than those indicating a
style/decoration change
