Summary: Japanese characters and matching braces problem

Initial Comment:
Hi,

I am the developer of WinShell, a latex front end which
uses scintalla. I got an email from a japanese user:

"...
This might be the most serious trouble for Japanese
users. When I input a left brace and three Japanese
characters, the main window displays correctly as follows.
capture1-1.gif

When I add a right brace, the second byte of the second
Japanese character is recognized as the matching left
brace.
capture1-2.gif

The Shift-JIS code of the second Japanese character is
0x967B.

Then I strike the enter key. The display turns to be
correct.
capture1-3.gif

However, if the cursor if moved to after the right
brace, incorrect matching occurs again just as capture1-2.
..."

I have attached a zip file with the images. Maybe there
is a fix for it.

greets
  Ingo (idb_at_winshell_dot_de)
