Thanks, Neil. That works well.  However, there's then a new issue; if I try to 
do a drop-down auto-complete, the up and down arrows no longer function in the 
list. I am specifically allowing these characters through, just disabling them 
with ClearCmdKey, and I expected that this only applies to their usual meaning 
in the editor. True, I could switch them back on when the list is active, but 
that could be a little awkward.
