Summary: ¨ instead of " with dead keys

Initial Comment:
I'm running a self-compiled version of SciTE (1.67) on
Ubuntu Breezy (5.10) with the 2.6.12-10-386 kernel.
So I'm using Gnome, and I use the US International
layout WITH DEAD KEYS. Whenever I try to get double
quotes (these ones : ", which I would normally get by
typing SHIFT+' and then SPACE), I get this weird
character : ¨.
I tried the latest CVS version to no avail. However,
when I switch to another keyboard layout (which I'd
like to avoid) that doesn't use dead keys, the double
quote (") works just fine.
I hope someone can fix this somehow, it's quite
annoying, and pretty much the only reason why I
wouldn't use SciTE.
Thanks,
Stefan Zwanenburg
