Yep - text from the clipboard *can* look like anything - this is what
the paste "convert" setting handles (if you care, note the differences
in GTK handling).

I've noticed that a lot of the line endings in my existing file set are
wrong - probably because I've been messing around with 'Set EOL mode' so
much - so what I've done now is set up a call to CONVERTEOLS after the
text has been loaded into the editor. As I edit more and more of the
files my file set will eventually converge back to CR/LF line endings.

Or you could just use the SciTE Option menu entries for "Line End Characters" and "Convert Line End Characters"? :)
