Dan is attempting to build SciTE, not Scintilla. SciTE no longer
supports building with VC6. I don't think it is worthwhile repairing
this due to the amount of workaround code needed and because SciTE
supports building with three different free compilers.
Actually, what is it precisely (or even kind-of) that causes this
breakage? I ask because I used to have very good results by using VC6
SP6 - but mixed with the "SP5 Processor Pack" back-end (c2.dll), which
was essentially from VC7.
That way you get a later version of the language/standards support
with the better code-generation of the later compiler, but running
under the old VS6 IDE... this all is only necessary if one has some
reason for sticking with "VC6", of course. :)
