Ops, i just saw that the selection problem occurs with a normal edit too. When i had first tested that, i didn't use an MDI app, and the problem didn't occur. Using an MDI app for test, like my real app is, the problem occurs with a normal edit too. More: it occurs on Win98 too, while with Scintilla it doesn't (it does only on Win2000 and XP).

Well, they definitely do :) . Furthermore i saw right now that on WinXP the selection occurs just like on Win2000. But on Win98 it doesn't at all. It's also ascertained that the container (neither EZGUI nor my app) doesn't explicitly do anything different based on Windows version.
