Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Scintilla Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Submitted By: Aggro (aggro80) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Adjust view area width according to longest line Initial Comment: I would like the Scintilla to automatically adjust the width of the view area to match the width of the longest line in the editor. Currently the end of the long line is not visible if you try to view it by using the scrollbar, but if you set caret to that line and press "end" to get end of the line, the width of the view area is fixed and the line can be viewed via scrollbars also. The whole line should be inside the view area by default. Scintilla could perhaps hold the length of the longest line in an internal variable and update that value when text changes and use this value to calculate the width for the view area and update it when necessary. This should at least work for fonts where all characters have equal width, which is true for most editors. This is missing from Scintilla, but affects Scite also. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=352439&aid=1581998&group_id=2439 _______________________________________________ Scintilla-interest mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.lyra.org/mailman/listinfo/scintilla-interest
