Bernd Paradies:

We are reviewing the licenses associated with LexEScript for Scintilla,
authored by Parizio Bekerle and the Mac port developed for Scintilla by
Evan Jones. Neither of these has a clear copyright or reference to the
Scintilla License.txt and we are hoping you can help us understand the
license associated with both of these technologies. Could you let us
know what license(s) cover each of these?

This came up before for LexEScript but Parizio did not respond at
the time. You could try searching for an email to make direct contact.
Alternatively it is easy to drop this code from your build: remove the
file scintilla/src/LexEScript.cxx and run src/LexGen.py to regenerate
build files. The EScript language handled by LexEScript is a game
scripting language and would not be of widespread interest.

Evan's Macintosh work is, I think, incomplete. ActiveState have a
Macintosh version but it has not yet been merged into the standard
release. Evan is still active on open source Python projects so should
be easy for you to find if really needed.
