No, I'm just asking about the visual style of the selection. The general approach to selection at the end of line is to extend the selection background color all the way to the right edge of the widget. In Scintilla the selection color stops immediately after the end of the line.

What do you want this to *mean*? Selections are ranges of characters... so, would this mean that all selections include some portion of the right side of a line? And you can never just select [say] the first three chars of a line?

Or are you asking for selections to continue working as now, but with the addition of a [presumably differently colored] ultra- visible "the selection is on this line" indicator?
