- lua's trace function does not show anything in the log pane
Its working for me. Most common problem with not seeing output from scripts is needing to restart for the startup script to be rerun.
- higlighting (selecting) is hardly visible now
This is probably caused by setting the selection background colour in user properties and then upgrading which causes the distribution global properties to be used. The distributed settings now uses translucent selection with a high translucency alpha value (30). Try putting at the end of your user properties: selection.alpha=256 Neither of these issues should be caused by the recent performance modification although earlier modifications may have affected these areas.
