Summary: SciteLexer.DLL won't register
Initial Comment:

Scite 171 and 161 run flawlessly on my 3.4GHz dual-core P4 system with 1gGB RAM
running WinXP Pro. In order to use a product based on SciteLexer.dll under
VB6.0 I need to register it but registration fails with unable to find server
entry point. The VB6 project runs flawlessly however, no doubt due to the
failure to register the .dll, the compiled program gives the error sound and
nothing appears on the screen, not an error message or the program, so I'm
stuck. Hope I've provided enough information. Thank you in advance for your
time and trouble in this issue. BTW, I've tried several .dll's from several
sources, and they all end up the same way.
There is NO "server registration" required or possible as regards
SciLexer.dll. It is not an "ActiveX" object, if that helps. I also
would be a bit hesitant to use it directly from VB, as the interface
is not really set up for that. This isn't to say an adapter or shim
layer couldn't be used - but I don't think it would be convenient.
Note that I am not exactly a "Mr VB" type... ;)
