Summary: Small problems i'm having
Initial Comment:
Scintilla works great except for two major problems.
- The colour: When i try to change the highlighted texts' colour ie: to red, it
changes to pink if i rechange the colour to red (again) it changes to another
colour. I think this is due to the colour format. What should i use hex or
decimal?
- The Lexer: The second major problem is with the lexer itself. When i use
SendMessage(hwnd,4001,3,NULL) (which is in c/c++ and hwnd is Scintilla's window
handle returned from CreateWindow("Scintilla"...), 4001 is for SCI_SETLEX and 3
for SCILEX_CPP) absolutely nothing happens (i tested it by typing //something
in the Scintilla window), this is the same for all lexers. After several
attempts I started thinking that I missused the call.
I used the call once after i created the window. So what am i doing wrong?
Should I preinitialize the scintilla window for use with the lexer or should I
use the call repeatedly?
- By the way, as i can't directly compile the Scintilla dll, i used
SciLexer.dll found with SciTE.
- I'm working on an interface dll that plugs Scintilla into GameMaker
(www.gamemaker.nl).
