I've now commited the OS X layer into the cvs head, so it will be available in the next release. I'd like to ask people to test the current code in their linux/windows applications and verify there are not conflicts (there should not be any).

The primary change for the rest of you (ie. non-OS X apps) is that you can now optionally build with a Scintilla Namespace. You have to hand edit the makefiles for this to happen.

For developers, you need to add the namespace declarations to your *new* headers and cxx files. See any file in src or include directories to see how it is done, it's very basic.

The OS X layer itself will eventually need a partial rewrite. It has some serious performance issues in some specific situations due to it's design. You'll notice it most if you turn on line wrapping.

There is a test container that can be built with xcode in the macosx directory. I have not ported SCiTE, I'll leave that effort to someone else.

Regards,
Shane Caraveo
