there are often discussions about Regular Expressions here and I just wanted
to report my own experience about this subject.
basically, I wanted to get 'the same regular expression engine for all parts
of my application' (in particular ECMAScript).
I succeedeed reasonably fast using boost::regex (www.boost.org), in
particular boost::regex has (almost) no dependencies on other parts of boost
and can be used with iterators (i.e. on any source of text).
I do not know if it is of any use but I was not really sure of the
do-ability before and just want to say that Scintilla copes very well in
this situation.
