Because SciTE does set the keybinding Ctrl+Shift+U for changing the
selection to upper case.

And it does actually work. I don't know why I didn't get it working the
first time I tried but now it works also in my app if I don't bind
Ctrl-Shift-U. Thanks Iago.

Probably. Or maybe the Scintilla widget inherits this keybinding and the
associated feature from the parent GtkWidget.
