This explanation of check.if.already.open is now in CVS: ------------------------------------ This option allows opening files in an existing instance of SciTE rather than always opening a new instance. When this option is set and SciTE is started, it checks to see if there are any other instances of SciTE open. If there is, another instance is asked to open the file and become active and the new instance exits. On Windows, the instance with the Options | Open Files Here menu item checked opens the file. On GTK+, an arbitrary instance opens the file. ------------------------------------
