Some questions you should have answered without I asked:

Which version of pcscd do you use?
Which version of ifd-GemPC do you use?

Are you sure your card is a microprocessor card (and not just a memory
card)?
Are you sure your card is not dead?
Are you sure you insert it the right way? :-)


Some more information needed:

Can you send a few more log lines please?
You can send all the lines containing "pcscd:" from the start of pcscd
(restart it if needed).  You should not have too many of them.

You can also get the driver source code [1] and recompile it. You should
have many more debug lines. You can send me the output in a private mail
to avoid overloading the mailing list.

I don't know your "cleancard" command.
