As far I know javaxcomm is ported to, Windows, Linux, Solaris and
Macintosh.

Can you explain this more detailed?

How will this work, is it mainly the resource manager that will be
included, and then you only have to install a new CSP and a Reader
Handler when adding a reader+card to Windows?
