Hi,

First the issue with RPC/NONRPC is a really strange Makefile issue.  I
fixed the Makefile in the next release to not create the executable test
unless you do a make nonrpc.  If you do just a make it will assume you
want RPC and will create testrpc and not test.  I would suggest looking at
the return value of the SCardStatus function.  My guess is that it is not
successfully returning SCARD_S_SUCCESS where the atr, atrlen, etc will be
zeroed.  I will be returning home in the next 3 days so I will give it a
try then.
