Imagine an openejb zip that you could just unpack over the top of an existing
tomcat install and that would be all that is needed to install openejb into
tomcat. All the openejb libraries would be added to the respective place in
the Tomcat install, etc. A beans directory would be added, and so on.
We could do something similar for webapps sans the loader configuration in the
web.xml
