book and hints

if you want the power of debian with the ease of use of some other distros,
go install Progeny, which is simply commercial Debian.

it installs with GNOME (updated to 1.4 last week), but you can change that
obviously. I apt-get upgraded my Vaio from Debian 2.2r3 to Progeny
1.whateverwasonthedistservers and it got X running (which I couldn't sort on
2.2r3 without considering compiling up a new install of X). And updates
over the web are a doddle.
