After cyberlurking on the list for a while, I've finally got desperate
enough to post something.
I've been trying to install Suse 7.0 on my machine at home (AMD Athlon 800
chip) with limited success. I've got Linux installed to the point where it
works at the command line level, but can't get the XFree server to run. I
gather that's because as it stands it doesn't support my Geforce 2 MX video
card.
I've found the relevant info on the SuSe support web site about downloading
drivers etc., but I was wondering if anyone had managed to get SuSe and
Geforce working successfully, and if so are there any handy tips and tricks
to make the process as simple as possible?
I've got several years experience of Unix as a user, but not at a systems
admin level, so I find some of the more technical "how to" articles a bit
beyond me. And my Micro$oft only friends are beginning to laugh at me.....
