Hello all,
I've just received this exciting invitation that has been extended to
all our members and I hope, regardless of your political ideas that you
will be able to attend.
Tony Dyer
Hello Tony,
Since you're running the Scottish LUG, perhaps
you'd be interested in knowing about an evening
talk we've arranged here -- Richard Stallman is
the guest speaker for the event, and everyone
who's interested can come.
It's for Tuesday at 7pm (coffee from 6:30).
Would you like to circulate the announcement on
your email-list? I'm going to email Alistair Murray
as well so he can inform the Edinburgh LUG too
(though I'm not sure they have a mailing-list).
The appended flyer is quite short, but there's more detail
and background for those who don't know who Richard
Stallman is (not your lot -- it's really intended for
quite a wide audience so there's more detail than
you'd need I'm sure) on the web-page it links to.
Your LUG has quite a few younger folk too (Ale Fernandez
told me -- you might know him), and they'd be welcome
too. In fact I was thinking of telling local schools
about it, since I guess there are quite a few high school
students who are interested and knowledgeable about Linux.
But I don't have any contacts in schools -- if you have
any email addresses etc. you could forward on to me,
I'd be most grateful.
Anyway, I hope your group is interested!
Maybe see you there :-)

the Free Software movement should be relevant to you,
