does anyone know of any stability problems with KDE 2.1.1 (the version that comes with RH 7.1)? I find that the icons in the kpannel on the bottom the screen sometimes disappear and only reappear when the mouse hovers over. Also sometimes all my windows just disappear although I can find them by clicking on the 3rd mouse button. The version of Gnome that is supplied runs ok and I never had any problems with RH 7.0 or mandrake 7.0/1. I cannot remember what video card I have as I am not at my home PC but it it's an onboard 3D advanced graphics something or other and seems pretty standard and was detected without any problems.
