[scottish] XF86 with Slack8

I recently installed slackware8 and I am having problems with the new version of X, whatever it is :)   using XFree86 -configure it created me a pretty good config (I included it in this mail)   It loads up the screen, and everything looks fine but nothing happens, all I see is a blank screen with the mouse pointer in the middle. It doesn't load the bottom menu etc, or the desktop if you can picture it.   I also included an x.out taken from 'x -configure 2> x.out' so hopefully someone can spot my problem   Regards, Martin
