I had no end of troubles getting it to work trying to compile the DBI and
DBD stuff / install from RPMs/tarballs until I installed tham through
through CPAN:
perl -MCPAN -e shell;
Someone else helped me with the exact syntax of the commands from thereon,
unfortunately I no longer have the details....
install DBI
install DBD::mysql
maybe.
