Yes, my BIOS sees all the memory no problem

I have 2 x 512MB DIMMS fitted

I tried booting from the Red Hat install CD and going into rescue mode, (I
don't know wether this was right or not) and typed "cat /proc/meminfo" and
got the result of 900248KB.

When I boot into Mandrake and open a terminal and type the above, I get the
same result. If I use Harddrake, it tells me I have 896MB RAM.

I'm totally lost :(

Thanks

John
