Ideally you could just install  the mandrake apache rpm from the cd, 
which then set up a virtual host for your website, with cgi-bin enabled. 
Easily done in linuxconf or your favorite configuration utility.

If not, i'm sure it can be  done in  perl directly, since CGI doesnt 
directly depend on the webserver since they use stdio.  You can do wierd 
things with pipes to get perl to  talk   directly to the web  browser, 
don't know if that would  work for you.
